Children & Junior
At United Black Belt in Edison, New Jersey, we take a unique approach to teaching Taekwondo by not dividing our children and junior students strictly by age. Instead, we teach all students together, carefully tailoring our instruction to accommodate the developmental needs and abilities of each child based on their age.
This integrated approach has many benefits. By training in a diverse group, younger students have the opportunity to learn from their older peers, observing advanced techniques and developing aspirations to reach higher levels of proficiency. Older students, in turn, learn to become role models, enhancing their leadership skills and reinforcing their own understanding of the material by helping others.
Our instructors are skilled at providing age-appropriate guidance within this mixed environment, ensuring that each child is challenged at the right level. Younger students are introduced to the basics in a fun and engaging way, while older or more experienced students receive instruction that pushes them to refine their techniques and deepen their understanding of Taekwondo.

Scholarship
This highly selective program is designed for the crème de la crème of our leadership team. We’re seeking students who have demonstrated excellence for a minimum of two years. This isn’t just about talent; it’s about dedication, hard work,and a proven track record of success.
Here’s what qualifies you:
- Proven Leadership: You consistently demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities, motivating and inspiring your peers.
- Academic Achievement: You maintain strong academic performance while fulfilling your leadership responsibilities.
- Dedication and Commitment: You exemplify the core values of our school through unwavering dedication and a commitment to excellence.
- Minimum Two Years of Experience: Only those who have demonstrably grown and excelled in the leadership program for at least two years will be considered.
